Jana Jones is a poet, mystic, philosopher, healer, astrologer, and shamanic practitioner. Her life of initiatory experience was kicked off at age two when she was butted by a ram named Rambo. Since then, things only got more interesting.

Born in Los Angeles and raised in Iowa from the age of three, for the last 11 years she has called the Pacific Northwest her home, settling in a small town on the magical Washougal River. 

Always a natural mystic, Jana pored over books on astrology, ESP, shamanism, yoga, natural medicine, tarot, and dream symbolism from the age of 10. 

In her twenties and thirties she was blessed to receive initiations from real life masters of healing, tantra, shamanism, and meditation.

While her initial intention at college was to become a medical doctor, simultaneous experiences—in the ER while training to be an EMT, combined with having a Reiki treatment for the first time—led her to question what kind of healing path was for her. 
She left her academic program and enrolled in the same holistic healing school attended by the Reiki healer. Here she was taught Chinese medical philosophy, shiatsu and western bodywork, sound healing, flower essences, aromatherapy, energy medicine, and Reiki in an intimate setting of seven students to two great teachers, Michael Santangelo and Candida Maurer.
She continued with her Reiki training after graduation, taking Reiki Master-Teacher attunement at age 22. To date she has attuned over 100 students to various levels of Reiki.

Years-long periods of crisis in her personal and family life forged a rare combination of strength, tenacity, resourcefulness, faith, stillness, and acceptance of ultimate vulnerability. 
Says Jana about these periods, “I learned that I don’t have control. And, I will do everything I can.”

Tracing her bloodline back across generations to the soil of Wales, in more recent years Jana came home to the Runes of her ancestors, the Elder Futhark, and its attendant Norse pantheon.
She is a student and initiate of the White Bear, Jeremy RJ White, a Celtic and Norse medicine man and shaman. 
These methods of healing, power, and transformation are now her primary personal practice, with reverence maintained in her heart for all of the traditions she has been part of, the teachers who raised her, and the gods who taught her their song.

Ever a Daoist at heart, Jana is a Level 1 Teacher trainee at the esteemed Ling Gui International Healing Qigong School.
